Why is it that all of these retailers that “cater” to bigger men always stock thee ugliest, most uncomfortable, out of style clothing. It looks like everything is for a retired detective retiring to Florida or something.
Don’t we have the right to look good too. Why are our smaller counterparts provided the newest fashions from the new and stylish quality manufacturers?
These are the things that go through my mind
Yes!!!! Me too! Smh!!!
Big Guys- (I’m going to contradict myself a few times below but follow along anyway, I think I have a point to make? :-)
There is no excuse for not being on point with spring and summer color, and the “PRINT” trends of 2013.
While you’ve probably not thought too deeply about it before…now is just as good as any to start thinking about your fashion needs and what might be better represented in the general public. There is clearly a need and a desire for stylish fashion for bigger guys, however it is up to you to demand it, it is also up to you to represent it. You’ve just as much purchasing power as anyone else, so if you flex those muscles the industry will listen. The almighty buck dictates inventory…so go demand, go write, go email the fashion houses, the designer’s you like. Hell get a campaign going if you must, but really it is up to you to voice your desires and needs, otherwise no one will pay attention.
While Plus size ladies are gaining ground, the bigger man still lags behind. In the US society specifically bigger guys can claim a large portion of the dollars spent in retail, why not translate that into fashion to.
I have a suspicion there is a huge demand, but the supply is just to low to fill that demand. So while my blog images are almost always represented by “Run way MODEL” types, please don’t be discouraged. It is not my intent to leave anyone out and you deserve to be equally represented. That is why I am posting a few links for those of you that might be following this blog or by chance stumble past my blog. (I will also make a concerted effort to represent fashion for you guys too. A reminder to me from time to time is welcome).

Although I absolutly hate the clothes these guys are wearing this is an great post! It is so true! We must continue to demand that our voice be heard!! My biggest issue with the clothes that these guys are wearing is my grandfather would have no issue rocking these things!! I have a real issue with that!! LOLOLOL! I digress! But thank you sir for including big guy fashion in your blog and for even being mindful of our plight!
